The sha:re-concept pool is an independent and self-organised group that consists of trained dialogue facilitators and mediators. The group members represent various castes, creeds, classes, genders and backgrounds. They help to create harmony between parties affected by conflict through the process of dialogue and the sharing of stories of individual grief and suffering. We establish dialogue groups in V.D.C. and districts, offer mediation during conflict/disputes and provide training for dialogue facilitators and mediators. Similarly, we provide services by organizing different programs in coordination with national and international non-governmental organizations. Our aim is to spread the sha:re concept in other districts, too.
This group consists of ex-combatants and representatives of local and national NGOs that work in the field of dialogue and mediation as well as of renowned community mediators. The social and political background of the individuals affiliated with this group is very heterogeneous. Although the individuals represent different identities and social and political ideologies, neutrality and impartiality has been our main Mantra. Since ex-combatants and longstanding community members work together in teams, they are balanced and trustworthy for all sides as mediators, particularly for inter-group conflicts that involve former combatants as well as longstanding community members. This supports the process of reintegration. Notwithstanding, the mediators of our group provide mediation for all other types of community-conflicts, too. Furthermore, we conduct dialogue groups, designed to promote trust in the communities that are challenged by the reintegration of former combatants or other political and social tensions. Facilitating a deep and compassionate exchange about personal painful experiences, related to the tensions at hand, is an essential part of our approach to dialogue.
